2026 Seafood & Wine Amateur Wine Competition

Description

The 2026 Amateur Wine Competition judging will take place January 31, 2026. Sponsored by Badmotivator Legacy Barrels.  THIS IS A PRIVATE EVENT, THE PUBLIC IS NOT INVITED TO THE JUDGING

Rules for Entry: 

1. Registration must be completed for each wine entry 

2. $15 fee per bottle of wine (limit 5 per winemaker) 

3. The Variety and Category should be clearly marked on the front of the bottle as well as on the registration form. 

4. Please place your name on the bottle and a specialty label for display at the festival (if available).

5. Blind judging will be conducted by a panel of judges. The winner of the "Best of Show" will receive a hand-made (home brewing sized) barrel from Badmotivator Legacy Barrels (up to $300 value).

6. Results of your wine in the competition will be mailed to all participants and posted on the webpage. (https://www.newportchamber.org/newport-seafood-wine-festival/wine-competitions/)

7. Do not enter wines that have been previously judged at this competition. 

8. Delivery of wine, form and entry fee no later than January 26, 2026 at a drop off site or January 30, 2026 at the Newport Chamber office (no later than 4pm).
